I watched the documentary last sunday night and felt micheal moore should have probed more as there is a lot more disturbing facts about Bush, 9/11 and the Iraq war yet I watched it with a repulican and she still wouldnt change her mind on Bush. Whats my next plan to change her mind? she is so stubborn.

Sorry, Starman, if anyone's stuck on Bush at this point, you'll find unsticking them to be harder than finding a 250,000 lira yarim ekmek doner (tavuk).
George Bush will be re-elected this November (my prediction has nothing to do with my own candidate preference). When it comes to running for president, the Democrats lost their cahones two decades ago (BC didn't need to win on cahones -- a good thing, since his were otherwise-occupied!), and if ever a challenger needed to take a flyer on a risky message, it's now.
Which means another 4 years before the bush goes out of season. But then watch out -- if it's not brutha Jeb in the wings, there's always Jenna and her sister whats-her-name! They're in training to fill daddy's shoes -- the boozin', the silver spoon (in mouth AND nose). They've got all the markings.
By the way, the first female President in the US will be a Republican.

So you dont think old Hillary Clinton would run for president in 4 years time as I cant see Dick Cheney winning it (if the old coot is still alive).

Yes mark my words, Bush will win this election as he rightly should. I hope he will change the way you liberals think and prove to you again that our way is the only way. I have also seen that film and am shocked how he managed to get away with so many lies in that film. definet thumbs down from me.

Starman,
Hillary Clinton might run, but she won't win. And Cheney's not a woman, at least not in public.
Anyway, Cheney's a back-door man, a skulker. He won't headline a ticket himself.

By the way, I think people who figure only liberals oppose Bush show a stunning lack of electrical activity in the brain.

Can anyone else remember a time when the world was ever so interested in a US election? Or even interested at all? and does anybody who so seriously supports Bush as MeforPresident not have the slightest niggling doubt about their candidate when considering that nobody, say it again NOBODY* else in the world wants Bush to win?
For the record, I'm sure there are somethings MM got wrong in Farenheit or were misinterpreted, but if even the faintest gist is true then no person with a conscience can honestly support Bush.
*exclaimer: I'm sure there are lots of nice tea towel wearing folks who're keen for him to further their cause for another term...oh, and Tony Bliar.

Dudes,
Pardon my laziness, I'm sure I could look it up myself, but what's a "tea towel"?

i also watched the documentary a few days ago. i agree with steve that micheal moore should have probed a bit more, especially since most of what he showed in the film was known to the slightly interested objective observer anyway. because of that, i didn't think it was shocking at all, BUT, i thought he did a very good job of packaging it into a capturing and entertaining feature film length documentary. obviously it is an anti-bush promotional film, moore admits to his agenda, but there is nothing wrong with it...especially since the media in the states is too bush-bowing and one-sided, there was a need for this...one needs both extremes to find the truth in between. however, in bush's case i feel that moore was just scratching the surface and that the truth lies even beyond the case he was making. it would be nice to see more republicans that can judge bush for what he is with all his good and bad sides and not just blindly support him as a result of loyalty to the republican cause. anyone who is interested in laughing about bush should take a look at his most absurd statements: www.dubyaspeak.com/audio.shtml

it's definitely interesting to read another point of view on moore's film, however, that professor seems to make some wrong assumptions in his critique. the film was never intended to be an objective, all encompassing, and politically correct review of american politics...it was merely intended to be a propaganda movie against bush. the movie should be taken at face value: an extreme point of view to counter the extreme point of view of bush supporters. the professor is also making a very weak point with his claim of racism...his examples seem to point more towards stereotyping than racism...and in my opinion there are many more flaws in his argumentation.
