1. Metro? let's call it a small train on a short track ;D 2. Taksim? do you mean that over crowded +over priced place with the hughe construction in the middle ;D 3. Airport? we got our own and I guess I don't need more time to go to yours then you do ;D 4. History? good for Yabanci's living in Asia, nobody is asking us to buy any thing ;D 5. Grant Bazar? the Kadiköy Bazar is the biggest and best in Istanbul, btw: the prices are better, even for Yabanci's and nobody is pulling you into the shop and trying his languages skills ;D 6. Ortaköy? we got Moda ;D 7. Karaköy? we got Kadiköy ;D you may go on as I may do too some day I will convice you!!!

How is it that I keep getting brought up in the sex trade convos??? You know people are going to start thinking either I work in the industry or I that I enjoy sex with men/women that stand on street corners. But yes I do know where the red light district is in karakoy....
Back to the topic. Sharky- if asia is so cool then why do you guys always insist on coming over here??? Have you ever seen the traffic on the bridge? You guys have a few ok areas over there, but moda isnt anything like ortakoy. The only thing you guys have that we dont is bagdat caddesi, and thats only fun every few months. And we have akmarkez, which is just as good for both shopping and people watching.

as far as I understand our usual discussion is like that because of 1 (+Fati and Matt) all others don't like to go to Asia for a dinner Akmerkez is a place I don't prefer, it's to artificail and cold and I'm not a shopping girl; did you know, that one of the new shopping places is the Tepe-Nautilus? But ok, the one I like most is the Profilo in Mecediyeköy, but who crosses a bridge just for some shopping? general I wonder why so many people are living on the Asian site, but almost all yabanci's insist on living in Europe - guess it feels more home ;D sharky

Well I wouldnt say that the European side feels more like home (dont forget I'm American ) Actually all of my family lives over there, and most of the people that I know in Istanbul. Maybe I wanted a new start - didnt want to hang out with the same people as before.
