just a general question to get an idea of what/where an expat finds his/her entertainment on a friday night. So what do you do?

I have been known to go to a local kahve and play backgammon or pisti or batir but I have to dress down and wear a vest to get into those places.

Well I may not be the best example of what an expat does on a friday night but I go out for tea usually and every once and a while I go out for a drink. I havent decided if my party free life is sad or really great. I do know when I first met starman he acted like a big drinker but I later found out it was tea that he drank a lot of If anyone is ever up for going out, let me know I could really use a night of drinking Kelly

Kelly, party free is never sad... at least when you do chill and hang out for tea and stuff... but i think partying is like a drug, the less you do of it the lower your tolerance... ached and wracked with pain from hangover and induced puking the day after clubbing a few times seems to indicate so (i refuse to admit that it is due to my age ) but like an idiot and junkie, if anyone suggests a good night out - i'll be up for it too... i top the 'sad weekend activities' list - saturdays seem to be spent doing laundry and dishes and grocery shopping... and then i'm knackered...

I unfortunately must move home so I will not be able to make it. and no this is not an excuse to get away from matching everything Sharky drinks & passing out. Hope you have a good time and will try and make the next one.
