Don't know about the specialised stores but don't they have small sections of organic food in the various supermarkets? Or maybe the selection might be too dismal for him...

There's a small shop in Beþiktaþ and another in Kuzguncuk, that I know of, but I don't remember there names. I'll try to get an address on each of them later ...

There's a good deli in Kadikoy Market (the fixed one not the Tuesday tented encampment) that sells a lot of organic produce. The owner speaks pretty good english too and is always very helpful.
I think the Street is called Muhurdar Cad. but in any case head directly for all the food shops and look on the Bosphorus side of the road (close to Dicle fish shop) for a shop front with lots of bottles of oils in the window. It usually has a guy sat outside polishing lemons(!) - how's that for directions.

Cihangir has a couple of shops that sell organic foods and vegetarian soya products (one is Soganci Sok, one is Yeni Yuva Sok and there is a deli on Akarsu Cad that has yummy stuff like home made jams, etc.). There are also a couple in Taksim, just off Istiklal Cad, down the Tunnel end.
