I wonder why you wish to be so secluded.. Also why imply that you do not want to be found, but still say it?? If you wish to be incognito... then dont utter a word...

which word? i don't think anyone can find me even if they manage to get to the region...
it's not that i WANTED to be so secluded (but with internet, who's really secluded anymore??)..it's that i almost died from the pollution in istanbul and my doctor said that if i wanted to live to old age, i should get out...coming here was the best thing i ever did...and 9/11 motivated my boss to buy this property for me so i wouldn't leave!! i'm an editor and can work from here easier than from istanbul, either way, i worked from home though. i dont' mind having company or guests...i just don't want a lot of yabancis coming here and spoiling the locals...i've seen it happen...i'm hoping it doesn't happen here..not in my lifetime.
and for the record, most people couldn't live this way.. they want something 'swanky'...my house is very cozy, friendly and with all the conveniences ... more actually than i even had in the USA...but it IS a village...and there's no night life...and no alcohol...i'd like to keep it that way.
anyway, i'm still puzzled...which word are you talking about?

hmmm.. just for the record..Is there no alcohol in the village or at your paradise? Also, when do I get invited and cook Indian food for you? Am very curious to see what is a UN-swanky way of living....to me, it's what inside that counts, not the ouside..

actually, i hope to get the guesthouse up and running soon. there's still some work to do in there...
the locals are 'pius' folk...they won't say anything to your face, but they don't really like alcohol .. one guy said he wouldn't come to my thanksgiving dinner (two years ago) if there was an alcohol... i was married to an alcoholic who since passed away (he was irish/american) so i don't think of alcohol as a fun way to spend my social life! which isn't to say that i don't / won't have a glass of wine or liquor once in a while...i just don't make drinking a sport like some do.
and i'd LOVE to have you come and do some curries for me. i had two lovely lovely friends from Sri Lanka who used to come and cook for me...i sure miss them.
let's discuss this a bit more. do you have a car?? can't get here easily without a car..
